The College Essay is a unique writing challenge. Our goal for each student is to create an authentic essay that will give the Admission Committee a deeper understanding of what a student will add to the college community.

It can be difficult for students to tell their unique story within the confines of character limits and drop down choices. We guide students to use concise and strategic descriptions that capture the breadth of their high school experience.

Spending the time to thoughtfully develop a well-rounded list is perhaps the best predictor of successful college application. We work directly with students to create a balanced, but ambitious, list of college options.

Colleges use the Supplemental Essay to learn more about the qualities and perspectives that prospective students might bring to campus. Although it’s more writing, we encourage students to use this as an opportunity to differentiate themselves.

Having choices at the end of the college application journey is something to celebrate! But since you can only just attend one college at a time, this choice can often feel overwhelming. We’ve counseled thousands of students to narrow their choices and get excited about their final decision.

Everyone knows this - college is expensive. Combinations of different funding sources exist for each student, from government grants, private grants, local vs. national scholarships, merit-based vs. need-based aid, the list goes on.
